Your Hosts
It started over a game of mahjong in Maine, but it was a shared love for the authentic flavors of the world that truly bonded Jutta von Dirke and Pegi Miller.
As their friendship grew, they noticed many women their age were hesitant to travel solo – especially to places where navigating the local scene can feel daunting. They imagined something better: a retreat that didn't just visit a destination but inhabited it, a bougie slumber party rooted in the kitchen, where every detail is intentionally "a little extra."
From that vision, Sorelle a Tavola – Sisters Around the Table – was born.
Inspired by the Slow Food movement, the experience is about more than just seeing a country; it’s about rolling up your sleeves for a cooking lesson, sourcing heritage ingredients at a hidden market, and savoring la dolce vita at a deliberate, joyful pace. Picture a week at a luxurious private villa where the itinerary is written in local wine and handmade pasta, blending the security of a like-minded group with a travel experience that is "extra" in every way – from the views to the depth of the cultural immersion.
